Why Now?

The landscape around Elective Home Education is changing.

For some time, we've seen changes in the legal and policy framework. But the passing of the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026 marks a significant new stage.

There is still guidance to come. There are policies to develop and systems to put into practice.

And that matters.

Because how these changes are interpreted and implemented will affect real families.

This is why I believe the time to build relationships and have conversations is now.

Not when everything has already been decided.

Not when a problem has already arisen.

Now.

Because if we want EHE to have a voice in what comes next, we need to be part of the conversation while that future is still being shaped.

So, why now?

Because the table is being built.

And I believe EHE should have a seat at it.
